Year of Millets

Classes: 1 and 2 January

The students of Classes 1 and 2 celebrated the ‘Year of Millets’ on Wednesday, 18 January 2023. Students brought a variety of food items like ragi dosa, jowar ladoo, upma, idli, kichidi, etc prepared using different millets. They displayed the food items and explained the nutritional value and the quantity of ingredients used to prepare the dish. Students got to know that millets are rich in calcium and magnesium and they act as a shield against nutritional deficiency.
Students enjoyed and actively participated in this activity. They also made sure that they are going to eat at least one food item prepared by millets every month.
