As a part of their Library Literacy Programme, the students of Class 2, presented a role play based on the story ‘The Giving Tree,’ written by Shel Silverstein. This story, unfolds a series of events that portray the exploitation of trees by man and his realisation of the self-denial trait of trees. The programme was aimed at building confidence and enhancing communication skills of the students which is imperative for their holistic development. Through this play the students also wanted to create awareness about the need to save trees and protect our environment.
