‘’Vegetable block printing”

Class: 6 to 8 & Date: 27 October 2022

Mathematics Association organised “Vegetable block printing using mathematical concepts” for classes 6 to 8 on 27 October 2022. Students from all four houses were given an hour time to design on white cloth by depicting various mathematical concepts using vegetable blocks. The activity integrated Mathematics with art in a beautiful way to make complex Math concepts look simple and eye-catching. After the stipulated time, the participants displayed their designs and spoke about their inspiration and thoughts behind them. Various concepts like Symmetry, Triangles, Quadrilaterals, Polygons, Circles and warli art were depicted in a fun and colourful way. The intricacies of Mathematics in Arts were revealed to the designers, when they showcased mathematical concepts, with the aid of vegetable block printings.
