WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?

The students of class 12 A of National Public School, Yeshwanthpur presented their class assembly on the topic ‘Who is responsible?’ It was presented in the form of a street play wherein the students brought out the problems like increase in traffic on the roads, gaping potholes on the road and garbage menace that are a matter of concern for every citizen of Bangalore. It portrayed the travails faced by every common man and how the founder king of Bengaluru, ‘Hiriya Kempegowda’ motivated his subjects to find solutions to the problems themselves and act responsibly.
The message conveyed was that it is high time that we stop blaming others for all the problems that ails us. Instead, as responsible citizens we take a proactive step and resolve the civic issues by making it a community initiative. It was very appropriate that this theme was portrayed at a time when India is at a juncture of becoming a super power and celebrated its 76th Independence Day. The assembly must have surely left an inedible mark on the minds of the young generation who will take our country to greater heights.
