Topic: Onam and Eid

Class 8-B presented their class assembly centered on the themes of unity, gratitude and cultural heritage, highlighting the festivals ofOnam and Eid. The program brought together storytelling, music and dance to demonstrate how different traditions share core values of harmony, generosity and joy. The assembly began with an introduction outlining the cultural and spiritual essence of both festivals. A centerpiece of the morning was a short theatrical play depicting the legend of King Mahabali and Lord Vishnu’s Vamana avatar. The drama illustrated Mahabali’s selfless promise, highlighting themes of humility, sacrifice and justice. Following the skit, students presented a traditional Onam dance (Thiruvathira). Wearing classic attire, the dancers performed synchronized movements around a Pookalam (flower carpet) set up on stage, capturing the spirit of Kerala’s harvest season. The assembly concluded with thought-provoking reflections on how multi-cultural celebrations strengthen mutual respect and community bonds within the school
