MYSORE SANDAL SOAP FACTORY VISIT

Class: 11 AND 12 DATE OF EVENT: 19 October 2024

Theoretical knowledge is not sufficient to build competitive managers and hence in order to acquire practical knowledge of the business environment, an educational tour to Mysore Sandal Soap Factory was organised to the commerce students of classes 11 and 12 on Saturday, October 19, 2024. The aim of the visit was to aid students to acquire basic knowledge of functioning of the industry.
Students explored the history and significance of sandalwood. They observed the intricate manufacturing process of Mysore Sandal Soap and the practices of quality assurance. Engaging in discussions with factory staff provided insights into business operations, enhancing their understanding of entrepreneurship.
Students gained practical knowledge of manufacturing and business, inspiring them to consider future careers in related fields. The students were appreciative of the opportunity facilitated to them by the school.
