Engineer’s Day’

Class: 8E Date: 10 September 2024

Students of Class 8E presented their class assembly on the topic ‘Engineer’s Day’ on 9 and 10 September 2024. The students introduced their assembly topic with a thought for the day and an informative quiz on the significance of the occasion. This was followed by a speech on Engineer’s Day, which highlighted the remarkable contributions of the visionary engineer Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.
On day 2, the class presented a well-scripted, skit showcasing the major achievements of Sir M Visvesvaraya. The skit depicted his work on irrigation projects, his role in the development of the Mysore state and his innovative engineering solutions. It highlighted the pivotal moment of the construction of the Krishna Raja Sagara Dam. The skit effectively conveyed his impact on society and inspired the audience. It was very well received by both the students and the teachers.
