From Imagination to Reality: The Journey of a Book

The students of Class 5D presented their assembly on the topic, ‘From Imagination to Reality: The Journey of a Book’ on Monday, 22 July to Wednesday, 24 July 2024. The assembly began with an inspiring thought for the day, followed by a brief introduction emphasising the significance of books and their journey from imagination to reality.
The highlight of the assembly was a skit titled From Imagination to Reality: The Journey of a Book, featuring characters like the author, illustrator, publisher and others. The author shared his inspiration, followed by the illustrator bringing the story to life with vivid illustrations, the publisher explained the process of preparing the manuscript for publication and the printer showcased the technical aspects of book production. The bookstore owner then described the excitement of bringing the finished book to readers. This was followed by a captivating dance performance depicting the emotions and creativity behind book-making. The assembly concluded with a reflection on the value of books and the joy of reading, encouraging students to appreciate the efforts involved in creating books and to foster a love for reading.
