Class: 12B Date: 07 June 2024
The students of class 12 B of National Public School, Yeshwanthpur presented their class assembly on the topic "Eco Chic: Fashion for a Sustainable Future", emphasizing that sustainability isn't just a buzzword; but a crucial mindset and action plan for the future of our planet. Through their fashion show, the students efficiently conveyed the message that by making mindful changes in our everyday fashion choices, we can significantly contribute to sustainability. The crowning moment was when students showcased their stunning outfits- skillfully hand made by using upcycled old shirts, newspapers, jute, craft and discarded CDs. Furthermore, the assembly underscored various initiatives and innovations within sustainable fashion, ranging from eco-friendly materials to ethical production processes such as fair labour practices and transparent supply chains.
The assembly served as a wakeup call for action, inspiring students to become agents of change in promoting sustainability within the fashion industry and beyond; encouraging them to embrace sustainability not as an option, but as a necessity.
